Floral Crop Top

Crop tops are in this season and while I am not sure I'm ready to go full midriff, I am loving this boxy sequined floral crop top.  It would look great with some cut-off jeans shorts too, but I opted to pair it with my black and white silk shorts for a full black and white combo.

On another note, what do you guys think of my new site design?  I wanted to keep things really simple so I chose a black and white design with a barely-there touch of my favorite: mint.  I particularly love the handwriting element my designer, Kelly of Fabulous K, added.

Darling Desires: Parisian Getaway

First, let me start by saying THANK YOU for all the wonderful, sweet, and thoughtful birthday messages you all left me.  I cannot tell you how grateful I am for each and every one of you.  I am so humbled by your continued support.  I sincerely appreciate it and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I had a wonderful birthday spent lunching in the sun above the ocean shore-line, feeding my inner cupcake obsession with Sprinkles, a surprise stop into one of my favorites, Kate Spade, and then a little nap following my cupcake coma.  My husband slaved away in the kitchen making me a delicious home-cooked meal and surprised me with a Tiffany's Box-inspired cake as I opened presents.  What a sweetheart.

I felt very loved and blessed indeed.

Birthday Brights

Happy Monday everyone.  Today is a very special day... my birthday!!  

I am such a sucker for holiday's (you should see our house during Christmas-time).  But beyond the usual celebrations, my birthday happens to be cause for extra rejoicing!  And before you get judgmental... I swear I have a legitimate reason.  Ben and I shared our first date on my birthday five years ago.  Ok, now you can cue the "awe's."

It has been an amazing five years together and an even better first year as his Mrs.  To celebrate, Ben took me out to my favorite San Diego restaurant... and what better way to celebrate than throwing on some birthday brights?
